Naval personnel on the afternoon of Aug. 5 wave goodbye to their families and friends at a sendoff event for the 38th contingent of the Republic of Korea Navy's Cheonghae Unit on the destroyer Gang Gam-chan (DDH-II, 4,400-ton class) at Naval Operations Command in Busan's Nam-gu District. The destroyer will perform its mission in the Gulf of Aden through February next year.
