A self-driving bus on a bus rapid transit (BRT) route on Dec. 27 passes near Government Complex-Sejong in Sejong. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said the country's first self-driving bus exclusively for BRT routes will run on the 22.4-km route between Sejong Intercity Bus Terminal and Osong Station in Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do Province. For passenger safety, the bus driver and safety officer will jointly assist those getting on and off the vehicle and respond to any emergency. Riding the high-tech bus is free for everyone who applies online on the official websites of Sejong City Hall and Chungcheongbuk-do Province or those using the QR code found on posters at BRT stops.
