Japanese tourists on Feb. 8 take a photo on the streets of Myeong-dong, a leading shopping and tourist neighborhood in Seoul's Jung-gu District. Thanks to the resumption of international travel after the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions, the area is seeing a revival. The Korea Tourism Organization said 539,273 foreign tourists visited the country in December last year, an astounding jump of 498.2% from the same month in 2021.
