People on the afternoon of March 15 take photos of a CNU hongmae (red apricot) tree at Chonnam National University in Gwangju's Buk-gu District. The type is considered one of the five best red apricots in the Honam region, which covers the provinces of Jeollabuk-do and Jeollanam-do, along with gobulmae of Baegyangsa Temple in Jangseong-gun County, Jeollanam-do; gyedangmae in the village of Jisil in Damyang-gun County, Jeollanam-do; sooyangmae on Sorokdo Island of Goheung-gun County, Jeollanam-do; and seonammae of Seonamsa Temple in Suncheon, Jeollanam-do.
