Fishing boats at dawn on April 14 enter the Jeodo fishery zone, which was opened to the public that day, after seeing a departure signal from the Korea Coast Guard in the northernmost area off the East Coast of Gangwon-do Province. Located north of the fishing boundary line and first opened in April 1972, the zone in the province's Goseong-gun County is opened every year to fishing from April to late December. The first day of this year's period saw 148 fishing boats and 245 people go out to fish.
