Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau (fourth from left) on May 17 pays tribute at the grave of Dr. Frank W. Schofield (1889-1970) at a site for patriotic martyrs of Seoul National Cemetery in the capital's Dongjak-gu District. A British-born Canadian physician and missionary, Schofield filmed footage of the March First Independence Movement in 1919 and disseminated it to the world. After his death in 1970, he became the first foreign national in Korea to be buried at a national cemetery.
