Second Vice Minister of Health and Welfare Park Min-soo, who is concurrently first general coordinator of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (CDSCH), on May 31, the day before the COVID-19 crisis warning level was lowered, speaks at the body's final meeting at Government Complex-Seoul in the capital's Jongno-gu District.
Chaired by the prime minister, the CDSCH, which was disbanded that day, was launched when the warning level for the pandemic rose to "critical" in February 2020. The level on June 1 will be lowered to "alert."
