A replica of the Joseon Dynasty vessel Joseon Tongsinsa on the morning of Aug. 1 departs for Japan from the Coastal Passenger Terminal of the Port of Busan in the southern city's Jung-gu District. Serving as an "emissary of peace" between both nations from 1607, the ship left on its first voyage across the Korea Strait toward Japan in 212 years since its 12th mission in 1811.
