President Yoon Suk Yeol (right) and first lady Kim Keon Hee on Aug. 15 enter a congratulatory ceremony for the 78th Liberation Day with Oh Seong-gyu, a soldier from the independence army, at the auditorium of Ewha Womans University in Seoul's Seodaemun-gu District. 


Oh, who was the last surviving independence soldier living in Japan, moved back to his homeland on Aug. 13 to spend his remaining days in Korea.
