Weightlifter Park Hye-jeong (Goyang City Hall), who won a gold medal at this year's Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, celebrates on Oct. 17 after setting a domestic record in the clean and jerk after lifting 170 kg on her third attempt at the women's 87-kg final of the 104th National Sports Festival at a cultural and sports center in Wando-gun County, Jeollanam-do Province. Earning Korea's first gold in her sport at the Asiad since Jang Miran (now second vice minister of culture, sports and tourism) won one at the 2010 event in Guangzhou, China, Park claimed the national title by lifting 124 kg in the snatch and 170 kg in the clean and jerk for a combined 294 kg.
