Senior citizens on the morning of Jan. 31 make bokjori (traditional rice strainers) ahead of Seollal (Lunar New Year) at Sindae Village Meeting Hall in Juksan-myeon Township of Anseong, Gyeonggi-do Province. A traditional custom is for Koreans to prepare bokjori early on the morning of Lunar New Year's Day and hang them on the wall to wish for good luck throughout the coming year.
