Samgaksan Dodangje, a tutelary festival of Samgaksan Mountain designated Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 42 by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, is held on the morning of April 11 on a nearby back hill of chogajip (traditional thatched huts) in the Ui-dong neighborhood of the capital's Gangbuk-gu District. This longstanding traditional village ritual on the mountain wishes for a village's prosperity, abundant harvest, livestock breeding and order.
