Families of the victims of the Jeju April 3 Incident of 1948 on the morning of April 3 attend a memorial on the 77th anniversary of the event around the grave markers at Jeju 4.3 Peace Park in Jeju City, Jeju Island; the markers represent victims whose bodies were never found. The incident saw the killing of thousands of Jeju residents due to a crackdown on a civilian uprising from March 1, 1947, to Sept. 21, 1954.
