A visitor to the event "From the Queen's Gaze" at Gyotaejeon Hall, the official quarters of the Joseon Dynasty queen, of Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul’s Jongno-gu District on May 28 looks toward Amisan, the queen's royal garden. To run through June 27, the temporary opening marks the 30th anniversary of the hall's restoration and offers rare public access to Gyotaejeon. The exhibition recreates scenes from the queen's daily life and features an immersive video on bujeokhwa (decorative wall paintings) at Geonsungak, a nearby annex.
