The Venerable Jungjae on June 10 gives a lecture with a demonstration in an interactive program on making temple food at Korean Temple Food Center in Seoul's Jongno-gu District. Visitors can sample Buddhist cuisine as well as try tea ceremonies, make the traditional snack dasik and talk with monks, with classes for foreign tourists. Temple food, which embodies the Buddhist principles of not killing a living thing, respect for life and moderation through food, was designated a National Intangible Cultural Heritage on May 19.
