A reenactment of the Royal Banquet at Yeongyeongdang in the Year of Muja (1828) on Sept. 23 is held at Yeongyeongdang Hall of Changdeokgung Palace in Seoul's Jongno-gu District. Recreating a court ritual in which food and liquor were offered to the king to show respect on special occasions, this free version of the event verified and restored by the Seoul-based World Ethnic Dance Institute is based on records of the banquet and runs through Sept. 24.
