A family on Nov. 7, which marks Ipdong, one of the nation's 24 traditional solar terms that marks the beginning of winter, touch a tree wrapped in colorful knit jambokso in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi-do Province. A jambokso is a traditional straw mat used in a pest control method that induces insects living in trees to move inside the wrap before winter so they can be collectively removed in spring.
