Children on Feb. 4 pose with traditional greetings for Ipchun (Onset of Spring), the first of the 24 traditional solar terms of the lunisolar calendar, on the main gate of Ochon House at the National Folk Museum of Korea in Seoul's Jongno-gu District. The phrase "Ipchundaegil geonyangdagyeong" (立春大吉 建陽多慶), meaning "Spring has come on a great auspicious day and we wish for great fortune and many happy events," expresses hopes for a new spring in wishing for good fortune and a bountiful harvest in the new year.
