The largest integrated Korean pavilion in history will debut at this year's CES, the world's largest exhibition of consumer electronics and information and communications technology, slated from Jan. 6-9 in Las Vegas.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups on Jan. 1 announced that through intergovernmental cooperation, they will set up and run the section with 38 institutions and 470 companies participating.

Under the theme "Innovators Show Up," CES 2026 will feature high-tech products and services of some 4,500 companies from about 150 countries that apply artificial intelligence (AI) to home appliances, mobility, health care and other sectors.

The estimated 1,000 Korean companies to attend CES include major corporations such as Samsung, LG, Hyundai and SK, small and medium enterprises with innovative technology, and promising startups.

In early November last year, Korea clinched the most CES 2026 Innovation Awards for the third consecutive year, attesting to its technological competitiveness on the global stage. Of the 284 companies that won the honor, 168 (59%) were Korean, far more than those from the U.S. (54), China (34) and Taiwan (13).

"As the competition for AI technological supremacy intensifies, CES, the world's top stage for innovative technical competition, will be an opportunity for our companies to display their technological know-how and potential," Minister of Trade, Industry and Resources Kim Jung-Kwan said. "The government will also provide active support to our companies so that their innovative capabilities can spur export results."
