All five of the country's competitors at this year's International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics have won gold medals
The Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity announced this on Oct. 6.
Held from Sept. 25 to Oct. 5 in Hanoi, Vietnam, the contest attracted 312 students from 64 countries.
Korea was represented by Kim Keonho and Kim Hyunggeon from Seoul Science High School; Park Hayoon from Daejeon Science High School; Yeo Eunsu from Sejong Academy of Science and Arts; and Yoon Yejoon from Gwangju Science High School.
This was the first time for the country's entire delegation to snag gold at the event.
