Thanks to fuzzy animals, police stations are becoming more and more popular on social media.

At the Okgu Patrol Division in Siheung, Gyeonggi-do, you can find a dog going on duty with the police officers. It's the patrol division's mascot, Okdori. Although he has grown big over the past two months, he's still full of charm.

Around two months ago, an injured puppy was found by a police officer from the Okgu Patrol Division during his regular patrol. The puppy was immediately brought back to the station for treatment. He was soon sent to an animal shelter as an abandoned dog for adoption, but as no one seemed to take an interest in him, the police officers adopted the puppy as part of the station.

Due to Okdori's presence, the police officers' work is now filled with happiness. The patrol division has become a more comfortable and friendlier space in the neighborhood, as people have begun to visit the place just to visit with Okdori.

Due to Okdori's charm, the police station has a more relaxed atmosphere.

If Okdori guards the police station during the day, Feline Officer Nyang takes charge of the Eunhaeng Police Substation in Seongnam and guards it at night. As cats are active during the night, Feline Officer Nyang has no trouble on night duty. Like Okdori, the cat was adopted by the station's officers.

Nyang enjoys sleeping on the captain's chair and eating canned food. Although the cat usually behaves somewhat haughtily, as cats are wont to do, it follows people who have any canned food with a mournful look. This brings a smile to people's faces.
