A Spanish version of the popular Korean TV show “Fantastic Duo” is getting wide attention from Andalusia to Zaragoza. In the show, fans and their favorite singers appear on camera to sing duets together.

The show, also currently airing its second season in Korea, uses the same English name in Spanish.

According to FormulaTV, a Spanish media magazine, the first episode aired on the public channel Televisión Espanola (TVE) with a successful premier on May 10 and with a 9.7 rating. By its fifth episode on June 7, it gained an audience of 1,307,000 viewers, with a rating of 10.3, the second highest of the year.

TVE announced on June 8 that, “The show won more than 1.3 million viewers, which is the biggest share of audience among programs on at the same time slot this year, and the second best rating so far. We saw an increased number of viewers across all age groups, except for kids between ages of 4 and 12.”

The show airs in primetime on TVE. It's hosted by Nuria Roca, an actress and hostess who is returning to Spanish terrestrial television after 17 years. The show starts with the opening music “Fantastic Baby” by Big Bang and a group dance.

So far, top Spanish singers, such as David Bustamante and Marta Sanchez, have appeared on the show, which is set to have eight episodes this season.

The Spanish version of "Fantastic Duo" airs every Wednesday at 11 p.m. in Spain.
