The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sept. 16 said it will host from Sept. 13 to Oct. 31 a photo exhibition to mark the "2021 Mekong-ROK (Republic of Korea) Exchange Year" at the Special Exhibition Gallery of ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Culture House in Busan's Haeundae-gu District.

Earlier from June 7 to July 4, the ministry held a "Mekong-ROK (Republic of Korea) Exchange Year Photo Contest" in which it awarded 35 of 163 entries.

The exhibition will mostly showcase the winning works.

The theme of the contest was moments of exchange and cooperation between Korea and the five countries the Mekong River passes through: Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.

The photos are also available on the websites of the ASEAN facility (www.ach.or.kr) and the contest (www.mekongphoto.com).
