The following are three highlighted stories posted by such reporters last week.

By Kim Eunhee and Joung Haseung

In the third week of February, Honorary Reporters introduced attractive spots for tourists to visit in Korea. From subway stations in the nation's capital to a snowy Hallasan Mountain, the following articles explore interesting ways to enjoy Korea.

■ Subway stations in Seoul offer shopping, culture and visual content (Laura Lopez Velazques from Mexico in English)

Honorary Reporter Laura Lopez Velazques from Mexico introduced Seoul's subway stations adorned with paintings of nearby areas, monuments and unique decor. For example, Chungmuro Station is filled with photos and caricatures of famous actors befitting the area's status as the birthplace of Korean cinema.

In addition, Seoul Station contains the landmark Culture Station Seoul 284, a cultural complex housed in the old Seoul Station building. These and other cultural attractions at subway stations are great for travelers going in and around the capital via subway.

■ Snowy trip to Hallasan Mountain (Gu Jiangwei from China in Chinese)

Honorary Reporter from China Gu Jiangwei wrote about her Dec. 28 trip to Hallasan Mountain on Jeju Island and added beautiful photos. Baengnokdam Lake on the mountain's peak (1,947 m high) is often reached via the Seongpanak and Gwaneumsa courses.

Gu said she was amazed by Hallasan's beauty, adding, "The snowy scenery is like a fairy-like world the higher you get on the mountain." She also shared a hiking tip, saying that when on the Seongpanak course, visitors can reach the observatory at Sara Oreum Volcanic Cone, which has a breathtaking view of Hallasan's peak and the Jeju sea.

■ Enjoying Korean food with meal kits (Elodie Buski from Belgium in French)

Honorary Reporter Elodie Buski from Belgium in November last year took part in a Hansik kit event hosted by the Korean Cultural Center in Brussels. Twelve Hansik kits were provided at the event including doenjang jjigae (soybean paste soup), ttukbaegi bulgogi (marinated grilled beef in an earthenware pot) and dakgalbi (spicy stir-fried chicken) from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and Korean Food Promotion Institute.

Buski introduced three dishes she made: tteokbokki (spicy rice cake), gimbap (seaweed rice roll) and kimchi bokkeumbap (fried rice). She said of what she called a meaningful experience, "It was a great event because not only did they prepare the ingredients, but also added detailed explanations about the food."
