The K-pop girl group BLACKPINK on Sept. 19 delivered a video warning on climate change at this year's "SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) Moment" of the United Nations in New York.

Member Jenny said, "We are here today to bring you special attention to the Sustainable Development Goals."

"We can't deny that the climate crisis is getting worse," Rose added. "All of us deserve a world abundant in nature, energy, and livelihood."

"There isn't a single moment to lose."

"Let's not underestimate the effects of individual efforts," Jisoo said, "Small efforts can make big changes."

Lisa concluded the message by saying, "We have more influence than we think," urging more learning and knowledge for a better tomorrow.

The SDG Moment was held on the first day of "High-Level Week" of the U.N. General Assembly. Attending the event were high-ranking officials like the U.N. secretary-general, heads of state and CEOs of global corporations.

This year, BLACKPINK took on the role of announcing the opening of a corner highlighting the importance of tackling climate change.

Named a promotional ambassador of the SDGs last year and to serve in the role through next year, the group is active in delivering messages on climate change response, the importance of education and other issues.
