"Music and basketball have been shared passions of mine since my youth."
BTS member Suga said this after being named an ambassador of the U.S. National Basketball Association (NBA), adding that his appointment felt like a dream.
The world's top pro basketball league on April 6 said on its official website that it named Suga an NBA ambassador.
Suga will communicate with NBA fans around the world throughout the remainder of this season and beyond and participate in events, according to the NBA.
NBA Deputy Commissioner and Chief Operating Officer Mark Tatum said, "We look forward to working with Suga to bring the same excitement he engenders from his global fanbase in support of our continued efforts to grow our brand."
