Photos of the first twin giant panda cubs born in the country have been released around a month after their birth on July 7.

Samsung C&T Resort Group, which runs the theme park and zoo Everland in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, on Aug. 7 unveiled photos of the twins born naturally from dad Le Bao, 10, and mom Ai Bao, 9.

The cubs are shown in the photos to have the distinctive black marks of giant pandas around their eyes, ears, shoulders, arms and legs.

Everland said the twins in a health checkup taken that day showed remarkable growth of a six- to eight-fold jump in weight since birth.

The park's zookeepers and veterinarians have cared for the cubs along with their mother, which finds it difficult to handle the twins at the same time.

"Ai Bao skillfully cares for her twins thanks to her experience in parenting the first naturally born giant panda in Korea, Fu Bao," zookeeper Kang Cher-won said. "We're adjusting the number of feedings and quantity of milk formula based on the twins' health condition and growth stage."

The cubs will be displayed to the public after turning six months old, when they begin to eat bamboo.

Everland will show videos of the twins' growth through social media like its official YouTube channel, Everland blog, Talking Zoo PPUPPA TV and the Naver cafe Zootopia.
