The Korean-language education show "K-Chat: Conversing in Korean" will debut from Nov. 6, the King Sejong Institute Foundation (KSIF) and Arirang TV said on Nov. 1.
This program will show educational content using Korean culture, food and lifestyle, topics preferred by learners of the language. It teaches beginner-level expressions in Korean usable immediately in real-life chats through situational dramatizations.
From Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. (Korean Standard Time), two 5-minute installments from among the show's 30 episodes will be aired four times a day on weekdays.
The host is Peter Bint, a half-Korean, half-British celebrity in Korea who used to teach English. Guests will include Aron of the K-pop group NU'EST and AleXa, a Korean American who won the first season of the U.S. music reality competition show "American Song Contest" on NBC.
Arirang TV will air the show in 108 countries including the U.S. and those in Europe and Africa. Viewers can also watch it on the foundation's official YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@kingsejonginstitutefoundation).
KSIF President Lee Hai-young said, "I hope 'K-Chat: Conversing in Korean' allows foreign watchers around the world who wish to learn Korean to effectively study the language through high-quality educational content."
