The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on Dec. 18 said it launched an online vote in partnership with the Visit Korea Committee to select a slogan for the nation's tourism promotional campaign Visit Korea Year 2023-24.

To run through Dec. 25, voting for four candidate phrases was opened on the event's official website (www.2024vkyvote.com).

The four finalists are "I'm Your K-Travel Mate"; "We're Now your K-Culture Guides"; "K-Exciting, K-Inspiring Visit Korea Year"; and "We're the Power that Drives K-Culture."

The ministry said the four were chosen for their suitability and utility in sparking interest in Korean culture while clearly expressing a welcoming atmosphere. These selections were based on diverse opinions from people from a range of sectors like tourism and public relations experts, university students and journalists.

Voting is open to anyone by selecting a welcoming message through a PC or smartphone. The results will come out early next month.
