A new section on the government-run website Study in Korea offers comprehensive information on becoming a student in the country.

The Ministry of Education on April 13 said it jointly set up the section with the National Institute for International Education (NIIED) on the site Study in Korea (www.studyinkorea.go.kr).

The NIIED-run portal was launched in 2012 to provide information on Korean universities, scholarships, visas, lifestyle and jobs to international students.

Attracting around 12 million visitors annually, the platform covers things like study in Korea fairs abroad, online application service, and scholarship announcements and applications.

The four categories are Korean Language Training Pavilion on related programs at university-affiliated institutes; English Track Pavilion on majors taught in English; Junior College Pavilion covering the curriculums and learning environments of such schools depending on major; and Local Government Pavilion on policies supporting international students and region-specific visa systems.

Available at https://www.studyinkorea.go.kr/ko/expoalwaysmain.do, the section offers service in 30 languages including Korean, English, Nepalese and Filipino.
