A press conference was held at the Korea National Training Center in Taeneung, Seoul, on August 20, 30 days ahead of the Incheon Asian Games 2014. The conference featured athletes, staffers and a glimpse of the team's training routine.

The Korean national players will participate in the games with the symbol of the national flag Taegeukgi on their chests. They expressed their will and goal for the upcoming international sporting event.
Gymnast Yang Hak-seon, who owns his own technique, dubbed after his own name in the vault, said, “Gymnastics is a battle with oneself.” He said that his own technique “Yang Hak-seon 2” currently has a success rate of lower than 50 percent. “I am focusing on upgrading my physical peak in order to raise the rate,” said Yang. The gold medalist in the vault at the London Olympics in 2012 also hoped to make efforts to get good results in other events at the upcoming games.

Badminton player Lee Yong-dae said with a hope for gold, “This is the third Asian Games I will participate in but I consider this event to be the last Asian Games of my life. I've always felt sad that I haven’t got any gold medals in the Asian Games.”
Foil fencer Nam Hyun-hee, who will participate in the Asian Games for the fourth time, said, “I was the youngest fencer in my first Asian Games but I am the eldest now. I will lead younger fencers and do my best to get good results.”

After the press conference, athletes showed their daily training routine. As national players, they proved how much the training requires their sweat. Korean national wrestlers tolerated a hard weight training session after running outside as a warm-up in humid, hot weather. Sweat dripped off them as if they just had a shower. The wrestlers all followed the coach’s order of “Do it again,” without complaining. When asked a typical question whether the training is difficult, they smiled as they know what outcome their sweat will bring.
Models showcase the official suits of the Korean athletes for the opening ceremony of the Incheon Asian Games 2014. The suits are composed of a pair of red pants and a white jacket to symbolize passion and the white-clad people which historically refers to Koreans. Meanwhile, uniforms of the Korean athletes for the upcoming sporting events were made public at the training center. The official suits the athletes will wear for the opening ceremony is composed of a white jacket and a pair of red pants. The suits symbolize the white-clad people, which historically refers to Koreans, as well as their passion. The official uniforms of the athletes are decorated with a pattern of dancheong, the traditional multicolored paintwork on wooden buildings.
