The national men's curling team goes on to win second place at the Curling Champions Tour on Jan. 25 in Hamburg, Germany.

The Korean men's curling team follows up on the good news brought home by the national bobsled team with their latest performance in Europe.

The Korean men's curling team won a silver medal at the Curling Champions Tour held on Jan. 25 at the German Masters in Hamburg, Germany. In the semi-finals, Korea competed against top-ranked Scotland and came in second place with a score of 5-4.

The Korean team, led by skip Kim Soo-hyuk, is comprised of Kim Tae-hwan, Park Jong-duk, Nam Yoon-ho and Yoon Mion-hyeon. Of the 24 countries that competed in the German Masters this year, Korea was the only Asian country present. During the qualification matches, Korea beat Scotland and emerged as a dark horse favorite, and then proceeded to beat two-time Curling Champions Tour winner Sweden by 6-1, proving that the national team was a strong contender in the championship.

The Korean men's curling team has their eyes fixed on the medals podium at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics. Up for grabs at the next Winter Olympics, there are three curling gold medals, for Men's, Women's and mixed doubles events.
