The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) assigned four new members to its Athlete Committee at the anti-doping body's recent board meeting, at the Westin Chosun Hotel in Seoul on Nov. 16. One of them was Korean handball star Hong Jeong-Ho who has won several medals at international tournaments, including a gold medal at the Barcelona 1992 Summer Olympics.

Hong will represent athletes regarding anti-doping policies and help them understand their roles and responsibilities.

During the three-day board meeting, Korea introduced its anti-doping programs for the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

Second Vice Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Roh Tae-kang announced that Korea plans to hold doping-free Games by running two doping control centers, one in Pyeongchang and one in Gangneung, and 19 doping management facilities, with 1,150 staff, including 200 specialists and inspectors and 950 volunteers.
