South and North Korean skiers have completed a joint training for two days at the Masikryong Ski Resort in North Korea.
South and North Korean alpine and cross-country skiers started the joint ski training session on the morning of Feb. 1 at the Masikryong Ski Resort. "The South Korean squad has completed the joint training session at the Masikryong Ski Resort safely and successfully. I hope that the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games will be some Olympics of peace, with this as momentum,” said Lee Joo-tae, a senior government official and South Korea's chief delegate there, who arrived at Yangyang Airport in South Korea after the training session.
The 32 North Korean athletes who completed in the joint training session landed at Yangyang Airport in Gangwon-do Province, South Korea, on a special charter flight alongside the South Korean squad that participated in the joint training session, accompanied by North Korea's vice sports minister, Won Kil-u.
