Hahm Hee-eunThe Korean women’s archery team, which is known to be one of the world’s strongest, won gold at the Asian Games for the sixth consecutive time. The men’s archery team lost by just a single point to Taiwan to go home with the silver medal.
Korea also proved its bowling chops in Asia by winning two gold medals, two silver medals and two bronze medals.
The national soccer team had a challenging quarterfinal match that went into extra time, but, in the end, it managed to defeat Uzbekistan 4-3. Hwang Ui Jo scored a penalty kick in the second half of extra time, and Hwang Hee Chan scored the goal that gave Korea its ticket to the semifinals. “Mr. Golden Boot” Hwang Ui Jo recorded his second hat-trick in the Asian Games, coming closer to Team Korea’s ultimate goal of winning gold for the second consecutive time at the Asian Games.
At the end of Day 10, Korea received 28 gold medals, 36 silver medals and 42 bronze medals, and remains in third place on the medals table at the 2018 Asian Games.
