The national archery team has won all the events in the recurve bow competition of the World Archery Championships for the first time in 12 years.

In Yankton, South Dakota, of the U.S., Kim Woojin on Sept. 26 defeated Marcus Daumeida of Brazil, 7-3, in the men's individual recurve final for the gold. 

Archery is divided into the recurve and compound bow events. Recurve uses traditional bows while compound uses mechanical.

Earlier, Jang Minhee (Incheon National University) dominated Casey Cofold of the U.S., 6-0, in the women's singles final.

Korea also won the mixed team (Kim Woojin and An San), men's team (Kim Woojin, Oh Jin Hyek and Kim Je Deok) and women's team events (Jang, An San and Kang Chae-young) to claim all five events in the competition.

This is the first time in 12 years that one country has swept all the events of the championships since the 2009 edition in the southern coastal city of Ulsan, where Korea also took all the golds. 

The 2011 tournament in Turin, Italy, adopted the mixed team event to raise the number of possible golds from four to five. Korea is thus the first country to clinch all five.

Kim Woojin earned golds in the mixed team, men's team and men's individual events. Jang won both of the events she competed in.

An San won the bronze in the women's individual event.
