Ko Jin-young has regained the top world ranking in women's pro golf after seven months.
The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) on May 22 released its latest global rankings with Ko at No. 1 with 8.26 points, with Nelly Korda of the U.S. a close second with 8.25.
Last ranking first in October last year, Ko has won two tournaments this year on the LPGA Tour to reclaim her crown.
Her victory at the Cognizant Founders Cup in Clifton, New Jersey, on May 14 was the 15th of her career on the tour.
Earlier on March 5, Ko edged Korda for the HSBC Women's World Championship in Singapore.
First ascending to No. 1 in April 2019, Ko has held the top spot for a combined 146 weeks, including this week, second only to 158 by the retired Lorena Ochoa of Mexico.
Ko's compatriot Kim Hyo-joo climbed to No. 10 to become the second Korean to make the top 10.
Two ethnic Koreans also made the list, with Lydia Ko of New Zealand third and Minjee Lee of Australia fifth.
