The national soccer team has unveiled its new uniforms.

The Korea Football Association (KFA) on March 19 through its official Instagram account released photos of the uniforms worn by key players like striker Son Heung-min, defender Kim Min-jae and midfielder Lee Jae-sung.

Nike, which made the outfits, said the designs were inspired by the beauty and strength of the nation's traditional architecture.

The home uniform displays the color red, which symbolizes Korean soccer, with a vibrant pattern. The collar and sleeves have a double border reminiscent of a dancheong (traditional decorative coloring) pattern to emphasize the beauty of balance.

Engraved on the collar are tiger claw marks to represent the majesty and fierceness of national team players.

The away uniform symbolizes the combination tradition and progress by reinterpreting najeonchilgi (lacquerware), reflecting exceptional Korean craftsmanship and the flair and finesse that Korea brings to the world stage.

The contrast between the deep black color and the shimmering pearl-colored digital pattern reflects the beauty of Korea representing harmony. Tiger claws are also emblazoned on the collar just like with the home uniform.

Nike used its "Metaprism" approach on its 2024 national uniforms to reinterpret each country's unique colors.

The Taegeuk Warriors on March 21 will wear their new uniforms at Seoul World Cup Stadium in a second-round Asian qualifier for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America against Thailand.
