Para shooter Park Jinho is the first Korean at the Paris Summer Paralympics to win two gold medals.

He scored 454.6 points (150 standing, 154.4 kneeling and 150.2 prone) to win the men's R7 50-m rifle three positions (SH1) at the Chateauroux Shooting Centre in Chateauroux, a city 270 km south of Paris, over China's Dong Chao (451.8).

Park won his first gold on Aug. 31 in the men's R1 10-m air rifle SH1 to become Korea's first double gold medalist of the Games.

He broke the former record of 453.7 points in a Paralympic final by Laslo Suranji of Serbia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics.

In table tennis, Team Korea won its fifth medal of the tournament.

Seo Su Yeon (WS1-2), Jang Yeongjin (MS3), Jung Young A (WS5) and Moon Sunghye (WS5) all advanced to the semifinals of the women's singles competition, while Cha Soo Yong (MS2) did so for the men. The Paralympics has no third-place playoff in table tennis, so all players in the final four receive at least a bronze.

As of Sept. 4 at 10 a.m. Korean Standard Time, the national team had four gold, seven silver and eight bronze medals.
