Golfers Im Jin Hee and Lee Somi have won the Dow Championship (combined prize money of USD 3.3 million), a two-person team tournament on the LPGA Tour of the U.S.
The pair on June 29 sank eight birdies without a bogey in the tournament's fourth and final round at Midland Country Club in Midland, Michigan.
With a combined score of 20-under 260, they beat in overtime the American duo of Lexi Thompson and Megan Khang.
Im and Lee secured the win with a birdie on the 18th hole (par 3), the first hole of overtime.
The pair are Korea's first to win the title in the only team event (two players) on the LPGA Tour.
The tournament is played in a foursomes format, where the two teammates alternate in the first and third rounds, and a fourball style in which each player hits a ball in the second and fourth rounds, with the higher score on each hole counting as the score.
Im and Lee's victory marks the fourth win by Koreans this year on the LPGA Tour, following those by Kim A Lim (February), Kim Hyo Joo (March) and Ryu Haeran (May).
