The national men's recurve team has won its third straight title at the World Archery Championships in Gwangju.

Kim Woojin, Kim Je Deok and Lee Woo Seok on Sept. 10 defeated the U.S. squad of Brady Ellison, Trenton Cowles and Christian Stoddard, 6-0 (56-55, 57-55, 59-56), on the sixth day of the competition at May 18 Democracy Square.

Korea has ruled this event since the 2021 competition in Yankton, South Dakota. The men's recurve team's gold is the nation's first in this year's tournament.

Earlier, the mixed team of Kim Woojin and An San won the silver after losing 6-2 to Spain's Elia Canales and Andres Temino, ending Korea's streak at seven world titles in the event.

The women's team of An, Lim Sihyeon and Kang Chaeyoung defeated India in the bronze match.

Korea will look to add golds in the men's individual recurve on Sept. 11 and the women's individual competition on Sept. 12.
