An Se Young, the world No. 1 in women's badminton, has won her ninth international title of the season at the Yonex French Open.

The wunderkind on Oct. 25 defeated world No. 2 Wang Zhiyi of China in straight sets (21-13, 21-7) at the French Open in just 42 minutes in Cesson-Sevigne, northwestern France.

With the score tied 9-9 in the first set, An scored consecutive points and added five straight while leading 16-13 to claim victory. She also held Wang to seven points in the second set.

An thus won her third French Open, winning the title first in 2019 and again last year.

In addition, Kim Won Ho and Seo Seung Jae, the world's top-ranked men's pair, rallied in the final set to win the tournament title over Indonesia's Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, 2-1 (10-21, 21-13, 21-12).

Kim and Seo also won their ninth trophy of the season.
