An Se Young, the world's top female badminton player, on June 7 secured her second straight women's singles title at the Indonesia Open.

This marked her second championship in two weeks after her victory at the Singapore Open on May 31.

The superstar on June 7 defeated Akane Yamaguchi of Japan in straight sets (23-21, 21-12) at the Indonesia Open final in Jakarta.

An won the title in just 39 minutes after scoring five consecutive points at the end of the second set against world No. 3 Yamaguchi.

This was her third career Indonesia Open win following those in 2021 and last year.

An now has five titles this season thanks to earlier victories at the Malaysia Open, India Open and Asian Championships..
