“In order to improve innovation, we need passion,” said the president, emphasizing the importance of the tasks at hand.
Concerning abnormalities, she said, “When we stop taking the medicine, it will only get more resistant, which will bring an even worse result than if we never started at all. As such, we need to do our best to completely eradicate the deep-rooted evils that exist in the country.”
“With this newly launched cabinet, we now stand at the crossroads where we must keep our balance and do our best to set the direction,” said the president. She urged the newly appointed cabinet members to, “do their utmost to fulfill their duties knowing that they will make history day by day and that their efforts will be recorded in history.”
President Park also emphasized to the newly appointed officials the need to revitalize the economy. She called on them to take responsibility for reviving the economy in order to form the foundation for another economic takeoff, and said that the improvement in innovation would make the country reborn.
The president urged the new cabinet members to, “gather all your strength in order to correct abnormalities, generate jobs so that youth and all strata of society can fully display their capabilities, solve the uncertainties and pains of the people and, finally, build a foundation for the peaceful reunification of the Korean Peninsula.”
