President Park Geun-hye profiled Korea’s three-year economic innovation plan at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders’ Meeting on November 11 in Beijing.

The president explained the plan during the second session of the APEC summit, on the theme of sustainable growth across the Asia-Pacific region. She expressed Korea’s will to actively reform and innovate its economy.

President Park gave detailed explanations to the participating APEC leaders about the economic policies included in Korea’s three-year economic innovation plan. The plan includes regulatory reform and her administration's vision for the creative industries, for both of which APEC leaders have shown strong interest and expressed support.

Park and the other APEC leaders all agreed with the importance of finding new growth engines through innovation and that the economic structure must be improved through economic reform. They agreed to make continuous efforts to share successful cases and to upgrade their capabilities.

Results of their discussions are contained in the innovative development, economic reform and growth statements which will be adopted as an annex to the APEC Leaders' Declaration.
