The training of medical personnel to fight the Ebola virus epidemic is continuing apace.
Practice drills undertaken by the Korean Disaster Relief Team (KDRT) were reenacted at an educational venue at the Korea Armed Forces Nursing Academy, located in Yuseong-gu (district), Daegu, on January 13.
This venue was modeled after the actual Ebola Treatment Center (ETC) in Sierra Leone.

At the academy, members of the anti-Ebola medical team received a three-day training composed of a 10-hour intensive educational session run by 20 specialized instructors. The subject material included basic education and practice training, such as diagnosis, treatment of Ebola patients, hygiene, disinfection, categorizing patients, collecting blood and treating Ebola patients.
The second delegation of Korean medical personnel received the training at the academy from January 5 to 7 before departing for the U.K. on January 10. From the U.K., they will be dispatched to the ETC in Sierra Leone after receiving further training in Britain for a week.
