"Sweden has a special place in the Korean people's heart," said President Park. "During the Korean War, Sweden dispatched medical service corps, which later led to the establishment of the National Medical Center in Korea."
"The Korean public also remembers that Sweden contributed much to peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula, even after the war, as a member of the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission over the past 60 years," the president added.
The European royal responded by saying that, "Korea and Sweden have a long relationship and I hope that my visit will further strengthen our relationship. I believe that our two nations have many things in common and that there are many more areas in which we can cooperate."
