President Park admired the artifacts from the Caral-Supe civilization, the earliest civilization of the Americas, guided by Carmen Teresa Carrasco, the museum's director.

"I have heard quite a bit about Peru's relics and it is very impressive to see them myself," said President Park. "I hope that the museum will continue to be one loved by people from across the world."

The president then met with 15 representatives from Korean pop music fan clubs in Peru and talked about K-pop, the popularity of Korean pop culture, Korean and Peruvian cuisine and other aspects of the two nations. The young Peruvians presented the president with a lama-shaped stuffed animal and a silver brooch as gifts.

After receiving the gifts, the president expressed her gratitude, saying that, "This is very pretty. It has a trendy pattern."

"I just came from the museum and I was quite impressed with Peru's history and origins. I was surprised by the refined fabric woven in ancient times. I heard that it still has its original form today because of the arid weather. That is very fortunate," said the president.

"I heard that K-pop fan clubs get together and enjoy Korean pop music and dance routines. They do volunteer work, too, and study the Korean language," said the president. "Your affectionate actions will deepen friendships with young Koreans, and will contribute a lot to the two nations becoming good neighbors."
