The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) will offer aid to establish a nursing school in Bangladesh. This will be the first nursing institute in the South Asian nation equipped with a post-graduate degree program. For this, the Korean government is planning to provide more support than ever before.

Scheduled to open in July 2016, the nursing institute is expected to produce some 60 alumni each year, starting in 2018. Currently, a total of three Bangladeshi professors are studying for a master's degree in nursing at Yonsei University and some 34 additional professors will be invited to Seoul to receive a similar education.

On July 28, a seminar on the development of a nursing workforce is held at a medical university in Dhaka.
