The Northeast Asian History Foundation (NAHF) organized a ceremony to mark its 10th anniversary and to announce its vision for the future, at the Korea Press Center in downtown Seoul on Sept. 21.

Established on Sept. 22, 2006, the foundation has carried out continuous research and study into historical issues in Northeast Asia and matters related to Dokdo Island. The NAHF is now repositioning itself as a "central history and territory research institute" to solve historical issues in Northeast Asia and to keep hold of sovereignty over Dokdo Island, the foundation announced.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Lee Joon-shik, President Kim Jung-bae of the National Institute of Korean History and NAHF President Kim Ho-sup each delivered a congratulatory message during the ceremony, with all the NAHF staff members in attendance.
